i’m reading this as quickly as i can (not quick at all) as a mother of a two month old

really enjoying this, but the second novella is soooo slow. and i have a one month old that constantly wants to be held, so!

someone on tumblr asked if sjm realizes that rhysand’s overprotectiveness is the same flavor as tamlin’s and everyone in the notes was like “lol no!” like!!!!!!! sadly i think she might genuinely be in love with that icky rat of a man!

i’m so confused. feyre was upset that tamlin—in the only way he knew how to show protection after UtM—sequestered her in his mansion in ACOMAF…YET she’s perfectly fine when Rhys puts a shield on her in ACOSF where no one can touch her outside of him??? do i have this right??? if so this girl is NUTS. is that not the same thing?! i will never understand. i cannot take feyre seriously as a character

ok cassian and nesta are a much more interesting pair than feyre and rhys

I’m sure this book is a work of art for people who go feral over Rhys and his inner circle, but I’m literally so! bored! I’m going to finish it, but unfortunately I’m starting to skim. WHERE is Lucien??????

Okay, I’ve just reached past the 100 page mark, and (I’ll be honest) I don’t know if I’m quite in love with the story yet? When I think of faeries I think of little winged pixies—sorry! Elves would have been a better/hotter mythical race imo. But the writing is sooo much better than in Red Rising, so I think I’ll stick this book out ♡

I think it’s telling that I’m already on page 60 of this

okay I’ve slept on it and I’ve decided it’s better if I read the 100 pages of my next book instead just to see which book I like better and want to pursue. wish me luck!

Listen, I always wait until I read the first 100 pages of a book before deciding how I feel about it. With this one I feel…not so good. I don’t ~think~ the author thinks he’s a misogynist, but he certainly writes like one. Also the style of writing doesn’t work for me at all. Boring, bland characters. Self-centered MMC. I’ll have to sit with it for a bit before making a decision.
