At 5 chapters in, I am so frustrated at how the author has created such a strong and dangerous character and such a weak and pathetic character all rolled into one walking contradiction! So far I am really not liking Scarlet while at the same time loving what she could be if she was less bratty. And why get so lazy with keeping her body strong if she doesn't plan to stay in luxury!

I quit! I got to 43% and I just can't do it anymore! I had issues with book one but I wanted more of Kace and Eva but I now say with certainty that I will not be reading anymore book by this author. I'm not one for leaving books unfinished even if it takes me 6 months, it bothers me too much but this I just can't do!

I'm not one to be genuinely triggered by dark topics. Difficult topics are difficult sure especially for survivors like myself but triggered is not a feeling I get from my safe place in books. So I was especially surprised at the huge wave of panic i felt reading about her guilt about her weight reaching a healthy size. I am 100% going to keep reading but beware those that may be triggered by the topic of weight gain
