This is doing the friends to lovers, sitting in your feelings for years and not being able to get together, yearning thing really well and it’s definetly scratching an itch but also, Kleypas doesn’t deserve Kev and I’m annoyed at how these Romani men are constantly there to reinforce the Hathaway girls subdued-ness

I originally thought Lilians hatred and disapproval for Matthew made no sense but rereading it I get it, especially remembering the relationship she has w her dad and how horribly her father treats daisy. That’s another thing tho, the familial relationships in the series is interesting

I’m seeing a lot of similarities btwn the hathaways and the ravanels, it feels like there’s much more tension between the family bcz of all the trauma they’ve faced, which makes the books more interesting compared to the ravanels but there’s also horrible treatment of the Roma characters… hm
