work requires me to be attentive as to what's happening but also, most of the time, nothing important is happening. that's why i find myself on goodreads figuring out what book to read and downloading it and reading one paragraph at a time whilst checking to make sure i'm not missing anything going on during the meeting. and i'm getting paid for it😂

at first, i was reading page to page, but soon after i started picking random pages to read, or choosing specific themes, then finding the poems and reading those. i haven't really counted, but i'm fairly sure i've read at least 220 pages of poems by now... which is around an eighth of the book!

Oh Emily, her writing is pure prose. She's breaking my heart.

Eye-opening and inspirational I can't make this up. My eyes are so heavy I'm about to fall asleep, but I'm continuing this the moment I wake up.
