First of all, Daddy Xaden as a prof…?? Along with a forbidden and angsty trope…? Say less, I’m sat. This is gonna be hot.

This book may only be 540 pages but it’s still long as fuck. I’m only able to read around 14-20 pages a day so far cause the font is so small. These pages are cramped with text. But hey, I’m not complaining. The book is actually feeling pretty entertaining compared to iron flame.

So I’m in page 20. I had to watch a bunch of summaries and spoilers from Iron Flame because I read it a while ago. This is definitely a book to read right after you finished Iron Flame and Fourth Wing. So now that I’m mostly caught up, imma reread the first 20 pages and go from there.

Ok!! This is cute! I’m liking it! I just hope there’s more to happen… some actual drama idk. But otherwise I am hooked. Also, Maverick is filthy af in the hottest way possible. He got me clenching every page.

Ok, I gotta admit I might have been wrong because I’m actually really liking this now. In the last 50 pages I have tabbed a bunch. I’m loving the romance book references. Mav might actually be hot after all, and Emmy is a queen. They’re both winning me over. Hopefully the book feels like this for me till the end cause I really wanna love it.

I liked the part where they’re playing. I think the dynamic is really cool.

I’m having trouble connecting with this book. I’m not sure what it is but I think it’s the dialogue that’s cringing me out. I starting feeling a bit better about it in the last 20 pages, though. And I’m really hoping I click with the book cause I bought a physical copy that I don’t want for it to go to waste. But yeah I just really really really wanna love this.
