Reading this line on holocaust Remembrance Day it’s so interesting because of the parallels going on in America with ICE. never again should mean never again to anyone not just Jews.

Overwritten with detail a little bit but maybe only because I heard the ending is effing crazy so I am eager to speed read/listen but I feel like you should enjoy the wordiness, but I’m just feeling impatient because I don’t wanna read about more child neglect and abuse

The cannibalism I can deal with it’s the “special kisses” I’m not so sure about (aka child abuse marks)

Not to be mean but this book was either written by AI or someone whose never been in a relationship before or met a woman

Took until about 45% for something to really happen but I am loving it now! So creative and fun! Love the plant poisons and antidotes part. Feel of the time period vs the language used doesn’t match up which is jarring & take you out of the story sometimes.

Having a really hard time connecting with the story, you’re dropped right into a very climactic point in the Mulan movie and move on from there, but I don’t feel like it allowed for any building of a connection or a relationship between the reader and Mulan/ping.
