I’m at the point where if Faith doesn’t find her own happiness and everyone else just goes to hell, I’ll be pissed. To be clear Ms. Howard, abusive behavior is still abusive even if the guy is the most physically attractive (because, let’s be clear, his personality is revolting) man on the planet.

The victim-blaming, slut-shaming, men-can’t-help-themselves-so-children-are-to-blame bullshit is gonna have to stop REAL SOON or this book is gonna end up in the digital litter bin 😡

...really? I hate to be so quick to criticize, but really? Even if she wasn’t moments away from likely being a victim of date rape, I can’t see how a dude you don’t know taking you to a private room so you can booty dance without anyone else around could be construed as being sweet, let alone the sweetest thing any guy has ever done.

So he aggressively takes her virginity despite her screams & crying,which he supposedly felt bad about right after he realized she was a virgin (oh how nice,she only deserves sympathy over,& let’s be clear here, being RAPED bc she was a virgin) but then no longer feels bad & never apologized bc she stood up for herself the next day? But she feels bad bc of his shitty past. Fuck that.

Okay, I hate him a little less. I don’t mind a guy who can admit when he’s wrong all on his own without any prompting. He was a total asshat at the beginning though 😒. Which, I get it, was totally the point. But STILL.

Okay, I HATE Jonah. If Calla doesn’t end up getting to seriously put him in his place resulting in him feeling guilty for the rest of his life, I don’t know that I’ll be able to NOT hate him at any point. What. An. A-HOLE!

Are you serious? I’ve liked this book up until this point, but that is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever read. Ever. It was so dumb and cheesy that I’m angry with the author for adding it, especially considering how unnecessary it was. There’s not much left to the story. I’m not sure if there’s enough time for it to redeem itself and leave me thinking about anything other than that dumb ending.

“I’m glad this isn’t a pop-up book.”

That might be the funniest line I’ve read in a book. 😄

DNF. I normally love this author and I know most people really enjoyed this book, but I just couldn’t get past the back and forth tape recording to present day storytelling. It just didn’t flow well for me and it was hard for me to get into.

This is hard to read. Even if there’s a “happily ever after” with Georgia and Moses, I just don’t see it being very happy. Some things are sad and stay sad.

DNF at 66%. Got distracted by life and stopped reading. Now I can’t seem to get back into it. I can’t seem to finish any books lately.

I really liked the second book, which I read first not realizing it wasn’t completely a standalone, but this one is quickly losing me. It’s too rapey for me.

I know something big is going to happen (because, HELLO SYNOPSIS), but I have no idea when or what it could possibly be. Stop torturing me, Colleen Hoover!!

I'm really hoping something changes soon. The characters haven't drawn me in at all and I'm finding it very difficult to be interested.

Why did it take me so long to read Nicholas Sparks' novels? His writing is captivating.

I'm excited to try another KA book. The first one I read was Knight of the Unfinished Hero series, which (for a few reasons, including the fact that I REALLY am not an erotic romance fan, but didn't realize it was an erotic romance going in) I wasn't crazy about, but because I can't seem to come across a single romance fan who isn't absolutely obsessed with KA, I figured I gotta try another. So here we go :-).

Is it weird that I feel more connected to the secondary characters? I feel so bad for Lisa. And Joey for that matter.

I'm not sure how I feel about Keri yet. I hate that she left Joe the way she did,but I'm thinking that the more I read, the more will come out about her reasoning. The person I feel most connected to is Teri. Shannon Stacey has done a great job connecting the readers to her & my heart absolutely breaks for Teri. I wish she had her own book. I hope she gets her HEA after her hubby does some serious, serious groveling.

I'm seriously having a hard time seeing the amazing love story that has been spouted by so many reviews. I imagine the angst must wane & the love story between Tatiana & Alexander must improve, but I've gotta say, I'm not sure that I want it to. I don't know that I want poor Tatiana to end up with Alexander. The sexual relationship between him & her sister constantly being flaunted in her face has left me disgusted.

I can't believe this is the first Nora Roberts novel I've read. What have I been doing with my time?? I foresee many more Roberts' novels in my future. Loving it so far.
