I read the second half with ladies at church, and I’m now plugging away on the first half on my own. Great thoughts, but it’s not as fun to read it alone compared to with the group.

Jeanie made it to London! I’m still wondering how Scott managed to get such a long novel out of such concise source material, but he keeps spinning it out.

Jeanie has finally left Scotland! It’s amazing how Scot can spin a very long yarn out of what was a very short story in the introduction.

Over half way! This is syncing up quite well with Age of Revolution.

So strange to read War & Peace and One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich at the same time. Well, for a short time. One Day took two weeks to read; W&P will take most of the year.
