Am I reading this so that I can tell people I read Kafka? Yes I am! I was not expecting this book to bring up uncomfortable emotions. Specifically, a phobia from childhood is back (my goodness 😲)! I’m concerned if I accidentally swallow a fly or wasp I will turn into a bug. It also concerns me that Gregor is not worried about waking up as a bug- that calls for a panic attack in my opinion!

Still a bit confused but I think it is because I have a bad grasp on history. I reckon someone who was really into JFK and 60s American history would love this book. Not as good as “white noise” and “falling man” yet.

This is a very intellectual book I fear I am not clever enough to understand but I am persevering☝️ wish me luck

Good so far! I had taken a break from it because I wanted to read my book about a polish lady obsessed with astrology/murdering people in her village haha. I was surprised how easy it was to pick up again which is good! X

Definitely not as into this as ACOTAR but I have only just started. Maybe I am not that into dragons?
