This is probably the best book Robin Hobb has ever put out. She nailed it on the second one.

Absolutely insane how much trauma Robin Hobb is willing to put children through in her books. This is just the beginning of a truly impressive run of overly traumatized preteens.

And here I am in a desperate attempt to get myself out a reading slump. And also because I am insane.
