If I had a nickel for every book I’ve read this month where a character takes things out of their dreams, I’d have… 4 nickels. Which is kind of a lot.

I was thinking there is SO much dialogue in this book! Where’s the extra narrative elements? (But I was enjoying it.) and then we hit the chapter with no dialogue and I am so bored and then I realize that the book being 80% is actually preferable and necessary.

I do not think Zosima’s mini biography was all that necessary, sorry Mr. Dostoyevsky

Is all this dialogue really so necessary

It is baffling that she thinks AI in healthcare is positive and won’t contribute to the “keep everyone sick to make money” system that she criticizes…

I wasn’t excited to be reading a Western already and the audio narrator is AWFUL it’s like I’m being told about a medical procedure and occasionally the surgeon breaks into a Scottish accent

This book is an absolute piece of garbage

The way Emily Henry writes friendships and friend banter is underrated tbh.

This is for the fleabag girlies but I can’t get over Andrés’ unprofessionalism 😭 not that I am saying he should respect the priesthood or anything. But the man must be bewitched.

Between massive slogs of dialogue, every once and awhile there’s this massive gut punch of an incredible line. The fluff can be amusing but really wears the pace down.
