This book is fantastic. A really unique way to structure and tell a story. Can’t wait to see what happens!

Slowly making my way thorough this one… I don’t find myself going back to it as much as I did with Wuthering Heights but then every time I read a chapter I just love the narration and writing!

I know Dave is controversial, abrasive, and not for everyone… but I’m enjoying the origin story of Barstool Sports and all the gritty Boston stories.

This book hasn’t caught my attention… I’m going to come back to it in a few weeks!

What!?! I literally had to stop. Audibly questioning what I just read. Had to reread because I thought I misread. This book is SO good!!!

Really incredible. Just listened for 3+ hours driving and was totally lost in the story. Ready to go back and immerse myself in all of Viola’s work!

Only 15 minutes in and I’m in! Viola is a powerful storyteller and the narration of the audiobook is excellent!

I'm taking my time with this one. Obviously, the Victorian era English and Yorkshire dialect take a bit to get used to! I'm listening on Audible, while reading, which helps. I assigned this to myself as part of my summer reading to challenge myself and it definitely is! And to think that in college I was reading Chaucer, de Cervantes, Charlotte Bronte, Henry James, and Chopin regularly.

I'm intrigued so far... Though nothing really of note has happened yet, I'm waiting for some action! I did appreciate the whole scene of the MC plotting out her next book. Was interesting to see how an author thinks through character development and rising/falling action.

I’m halfway through and this book is suspiciously reminiscent of The Last Mrs. Parish and The Housemaid. I will finish because I need to see how it compares to the aforementioned. But it is kind of distracting. Will report back!

A lakeside thriller is the perfect summer read. Excited to dive in!
