This is the kind of book that would be adapted so well to screen. This is the kind of narrative that creative eyes salivate over. But, alas, we’re in an age of reboots and sequels.

I have never read a first chapter so detailed in its approach to describing vomiting.

The start of this book is rather slow, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I appreciate that Saint took the time to set expectations in such a way upfront. We are well aware of the world Atalanta comes from and the kind of goddess she is devoted to. However, I will say that once Atalanta heads off on the Argo I could not put it down. I’m excited to see how this ends.

Listening on audiobook and might DNF. Authors are getting SUPER lazy. Also wasn’t expecting “dick so good it gave her the powers she’s been praying for since childhood” levels of misogyny. I also wasn’t anticipating that scene, I thought this was YA.

Owen may still be guilty, but I bet he was the one to contact the SEC.

Deeply mediocre and honestly not worth the time. Though I liked the Hungarian lore and some of the overall messaging, the characters were bland and the plot a bit too messy and out of pace.

So far a quick read! Very juvenile and the world building is lackluster, but it’s quick and a good pallet cleanser after some sadder reads
