No one is writing prologues like Miss Robin Hobb. Reading them tugs at my heartstrings in a way that is unexplainable

Once again, I have no idea who the hell I'm supposed to root for... I feel like everyone is wrong and everyone has a prejudice against some other, and that is why these books are so interesting for me.

Having said that, Ali's character growth between book 1 and now is really surprising me - if someone is close to being right, I think it might be him.

OBSESSED about the magic system of this book!

80 pages into this thing and I have no idea what the setting is. Is it dystopian with magic? Is this fantasy with semi-modern, post apocalyptic yet at the same time Roman Empire vibes? I couldn't tell you if my life depended on it.
