THIS is how a dialogue is written

The writing is surprisingly bad, very slow progress, characters mid. Unlikely to finish

while i can relate, i am absolutely not entertained or moved or even educated by the story so far

hits hard

i am amazed by the insight of this 37-year-old author into the inner workings of a senior living with the Alzheimer’s. This is a great novel that also belongs on a reading list for nursing and medical schools

a devastating read, feels so true and so beautifully sad

Man this is dark

The WHAT of the grain silos????? what the actual

I just can’t seem to be able to get into this book.

this is a difficult read, not sure I’m in the right mental space to go through this rn

glad I stuck around. this is good

is this going to be trash?

lol “only”
i’ll stick around for a while but the author sounds like a teen - or AI - who doesn’t understand humans at all

lol i can think of a dozen different copouts for needing a new nanny than this. also, wtf

this is as late 90s as can be. models, casual chauvinism, everyday pedo (“weird guys”), pervy businessmen, obsession with looks.. Not sure I’ll stick around for another 350 pages but it is a quality read, product of its time thematically and, I guess, stylistically. I’ll see

oh, my god, get to the point and to the present situation

well, finally. The plot starts now, 80 pages in. this book could use one of those then and now narrative devices to get going before reader quits in frustration and boredom.

did anyone edit this book? this is not how one would use “instead”

“no one comes forward, everyone afraid to assume unnecessary liability these days” wtf annie, where’s this bs coming from. along with the false petechiae bs definition, so much for this “well-researched@ book. is all her journalism this incompetent?

factual inaccuracies are very distracting

ARE petechiae really broken MUCOUS MEMBRANES?? 🤦‍♀️

chemo clinics

here you go, the reliable “twist”

does this small-time bourgeoise porn lead anywhere meaningful? also, what’s with the horse story? or car accident? i hope it gets better

this is one of the funniest tongue-in-cheek books i’ve ever read

lol this is pure gold! adding all his books to the list

look, I am all pro-vaccines etc but a healthy person taking a spinning class - even if they were unvaxxed - doesn’t die of ‘rona in 4 days 🤦‍♀️ Not in the States, prob not anywhere, unless they got hit by a bus on their way home from the said spinning class. I worked covid since day one and this propaganda, even if clearly meant well, is so unkosher

everyone needing a hip replacement but apprehensive about it - chapter One is a (hilarious) must-read.
