If Beale Street Could Talk
You ever read something and from the first page you're captured by the narrator's or character's voice? I'm so glad I made the good choice to remedy the fact that I had never read Baldwin before.

Not really feeling this yet, but I'm barely into it so I'll stick w it a little before deciding if it's a dnf or not.

Omg... could this be the book that lifts me out of my reading rut?? I live for hilarious (purposefully) awkward dialogue

The Merry Spinster: Tales of Everyday Horror
Don't know if I will end up giving this very high stars overall but at least it's engaging and short stories that are reimagined fairy tales are easy to read lol.

Reading is really hard and I wish I could find something as magical as anything NK Jemisin writes or as fun to read as the Mercy Thomspon series or even like Kate Daniels level. Ugh I just need some really good fantasy or engaging urban fantasy to get me back into a reading rhythm again... ):

I read a few pages before and was browsing the e-library late last night and here I am now, I think it could be pretty good.

I'd read this a lot faster but I keep post-it-noting it bc I have some maybe-not-real dream that I wanna sit down and like REALLY talk about it lol. But I love it! Wanna get back into it!

omg I just learned how to make an "exclusive" shelf on goodreads so I can make a DNF shelf and not have to have the books also on one of the basic shelves at the same time and this has CHANGED THE GAME, now I feel more motivated bc i can keep things just on DNF or "probably going to finish this later" shelves without having to keep them on to read/read/currently reading shelves yeahhhhhh!!!!

I cried a few times. Got post-its throughout. There were so many poignant passages. I mean, it's always good, and this whole trilogy is heavy, but I feel like this one like, really digs in with the Big Stuff.

It Won't Be Easy: An Exceedingly Honest (and Slightly Unprofessional) Love Letter to Teaching
I've been really enjoying this book. All of it is pretty much good, but there've been a lot of gems in the 'Fall' section (which also ended with a great, motivating chapter).

The Witch With No Name (The Hollows, #13)
Really the most fun to read/most interesting pages are when Al is around. But any of the demons would probably still make it more interesting than the endgame romance that was pushed through the last couple books and this one.
