Love the mystery aspect and the closeness of the east coast locations and old country feel that reminds me of tappahanock. Treading very lightly on the love interest and seems like a cute story so far

This one is holiday themed and set in a small town so I definitely think it’s going to give lifetime/hallmark vibes and be a cute story

It’s so crazy how different the movie is from the book. I deeply enjoy the movie and they did a great job at making a whole different version and world of Coraline and added so much dimension to the story but it’s literally damn near nothing like the book😭 I almost wish I could see a play by play exact replica of the book enacted but then again that’s literally what my imagination is for ig

The pace is really fast, I really need to stop watching the movies before reading the book but already spotting little differences and still shocked this is a “kids” book

Lowkey feel bad for Klara, I like the division of each sibling’s story and perspective of the family throughout the different times of their lives. Klara deserved more tho 3

Love the setting of NY and San Fran and the expression of the gays in the 80s in the city. Love Sy, he was adventurous but klara lowkey seems annoying so not looking forward to her part of the story but we’ll see

The Brown’s being English is a pleasant surprise and I love our little ginger love interest. I enjoy when books have a medical aspect so her diagnosis will be an interesting component to learn about. Her attitude threw me off a little bit but I’ll allow it, the sarcastic banter will be great for the right one🤭

I’m really liking this book, it’s not giving unrealistic or predictable and it’s a different storyline that I’m thoroughly enjoying

They really do make it seem like he’s cooked but then he magically gets through everything. Not feeling as deep a connection w this one and I think it’s bc Hay has been portrayed as this numb alcoholic non caring person in the earlier books that it’s hard to imagine him having compassion in the games for the other tributes, idk maybe the end will tie it all together and make sense

Love the progression of the book, how she’s introducing old characters but how Hay is acting toward them is uhhh very Katniss-like. Now I’m seeing how Hay and Katniss’ relationship came to be with them being so similarly hardheaded and badass
