Compared to Say Nothing and Empire this book falls short, the improvement in Patricks writing clearly evident in those later books compared to Snakehead.
The timeline and progression, coupled with the bouncing of characters make it harder to follower and less enjoyable.
My copy (Anchor Books) has double printed pages making the text blurry to read.
Hopefully the second half picks up.
