The chokehold this book has on me..........

The blurb is deceiving.

I don't particularly care for short stories but there's something about this one......

This is steadily going nowhere. I feel like I've been reading this book forever. Why am I not even half done?

I have just now learnt that Joe Hill is actually Joseph Hillström King. Stephen King's son . And I truly wish I hadn't known. It's going to make reading the rest of the book difficult.

Powering through only and only for Padu (buddy reader). What an absolutely superficial snoozefest, this.

I want this book to be a movie SO bad.

Unfortunately, Sanderson is not doing it for me. I may or may not re-visit the series at a later date.

Move over Call me Ishmael, there's a new powerful opening line in literary fiction. It also replaces my most fave quote to be my number one fave quote. For this alone, Mellors wins.

I'm not sure how I feel about this book. The parts that talk about yesteryear Punjab and Maharaja Ranjit Singh are very fascinating. The love story angle? Not so much.

A the-weather-made-me-do-it kind of read. Abandoned all current reads because gloomy monsoon days demanded I read a gloomy book.

It's taking far too long. Just let Gray have a go at Donald and end it once and for all!
