I'm stuck! I'll try to keep going, but I am still on break with this one

Just trekking along, no race to finish!

Very slow going! I miss the Cameron of Book 1!

Okay - I am more than 2/3 of the way through and there has not been a single kiss - so many missed opportunities though. It really is like watching a Hallmark movie where there is only one kiss, and it is at the very end of the movie/book. I think romances can be clean and have some kissing that demonstrates desire between the MC's - this one is not it!

Kaylee's insecurities and fears are starting to get a little monotonous; I appreciate that she has them, but perhaps there is another way of demonstrating them besides - "why would he be interested in me? He's a hunk and I'm a mess." Luke, the hero, spends a lot of time just trying to help her see herself in a better light. Self-deprecation gets tedious in big doses though.

This isn't my usual kind of book, but it has been sorta fun to read so far. It very much reads like a Hallmark Channel movie.

I admit that I am struggling with this story a bit. I am not sure if that is because I haven't read the ones before it, but I am not feeling the chemistry between Iris and Nicholas - and there are entirely too many cousins and uncles. It's a bit of a slog for me, but I will persevere.
