hard ass read bc i am so sleepy but this book is also interesting and illuminating….

good book, lots of work to read at times bc the world is so big and grrm is constantly building subplots that are sure to develop into something but still it slows. initial thoughts are that it is not as good as the first book but still good

this is like a textbook with all the fucking math it has and i don’t know if i have the mathematical background to really get this book, but i think it’s good so far???

this book has gone so slowly but being in india i’ve read like 200 pages. totally worth the read so far, love his use of historical sources in order to elucidate his point

it’s rather good but it’s also really heavy. it makes me think so much and while i appreciate that, it makes it hard to finish the book. you have moments of magic and wonder while also having moments of deep depression because you know behind the magic, the world is a deeply flawed place where bad things happen all the time.
