one last comfort before the horror

i have cried so much

i'm already so gripped by this retelling

excited to see where this story goes. i have had many dreams where i show up to my childhood home to take a look around (except without the mal intent)

ok the pacing is slowing i hope things start to resolve soon

i love the old hollywood references !

really digging sager's writing style so far, i'm excited to see where this story goes!

ok that was a rlly hard part to get through content wise, i feel like it was described in such detail for so long it almost felt sadistic coming from a male author. let's see if in these last 55 pages we can come back from this

oh this book is good.. it took so long to get it from the library and now it's past due bc i was reading other books. i'm trying to finish by tomorrow so i don't get more fees, sorry to the people waiting on it 😭

ugh i was so obsessed with this book until about halfway. now im struggling to get through it. the direction it took was so boring. i feel like finding out the mystery behind the house could have been lengthened instead of all of this personal dialogue to save augustine ughhhhhhhhhhh.

oh my godddddd i'm obsessed already. atmospheric, weird and freaky, tense, romantic. excited to see where this goes!!
