WTF is wrong with Stephen King, dude? This book is too political for a mystery thriller that has nothing to do with politics. And if I hear "they didn't care/look/remember because the person was black" I'll scream. Trump supporters are all evil and dumb and toxic. Leftists are gentle, inteligent and good. This book is catering so hard to the left. Dude at least give us nuance here. This is annoying me

Ok, so... 2 things: Stephen King is absolutely diabolic, his villains are pure evil. On the other hand, we're conflating them too much with the political climate... they're MAGA. The heroes are left leaning. Just... less, Mr. King, less. I mean, there is entirely too much bias here.

I don't get this book at all. It's so random

See this is what one calls "lazy writing". It's a "fantasy book" because the gods were a bunch of giant animals (from what I know so far) and some humans have "superpowers" but the society and culture is copy/paste half Skyrim, half Nordic inspired. Dude, no. Let's hope it gets more interesting and doesnt end up like that other "fantasy book" that was copy/paste 18th century France with modern toilets

I know I'm going to be really disliked, and this ISN'T an excuse for the behavior of a certain character, but this has an historical bend and I applaud the author for not erasing the values, beliefs and societal mores to appeal to the 21th century audience. Ppl fail to consider that everyone is a product of their time. Is it right? No. Is it somewhat understandable? Probably. Is it still disgusting. No doubt!

I think this volume is one of transitions and it's a bit boring.

Reminds me of playing Diablo III in hardcore mode, but with less action >_>

I'm struggling with this, glad I have less than an hour to go. Not sure what is bothering me, I think it's just that I don't see that it has enough story to be so big. And I don't like the characters.

I don't get it... where is the mystery part. Also, the sex scenes are so cringy I'm not sure how the narrators could read them with a straight face >_>
