I started this on the train back to Bristol and I am loving it, it has made my journey so so enjoyable. I think I want to start reading more non-fiction, because that is often an escape for me, whereas this has made me so excited for life. This has made me so eager to go climbing again. It reminded me of how much fun I had bouldering and how much more I loved outdoor top rope climbing.

Loving it so far. Didn’t expect it to be written from her husbands perspective but I’m finding it rlly interesting that it is - rlly shows how he views her and the fact that her name hasn’t been mentioned once

It is good but I am reading very slowly, excited to find out what happens and if that guy gets out of the town. Gonna put on my earphones n the booknboat spotify playlist, maybe even the blend..

enjoying how this book explores capitalism but also excited to read something more modern next. keep picking this up and thinking abt it imbetween reads

Far easier to read now - not sure if something within the writing has changed or if i’ve just adjusted to the older style. Very interested in the story and glad it isn’t moving too slowly. Also enjoying the slow chapters - the last was not even an entire page long!

definitely not as easy of a read as normal people but that’s to be expected it was written in the 1920s

i’m liking it, it feels so weirdly familiar tho, like thighs keep happening and i think i remember that happening… idk if i’ve read this b4 briefly and forgot or id it’s something to do with the writing style.
chapter 1 rlly reminded me of before the coffee gets cold

it’s so beautiful i’ve loved it from the v start and the front cover is so cozy it reminds me of the tiger who came to tea
it’s my dads copy so i can’t annotate it or even hold it in the most comfortable way where you bend the pages around
i want to buy my own copy i don’t think i can let this book go i wanna annotate it with songs cos ones keep coming to mind and i wanna find ones

very good, i’m intrigued, and very well written. although i found the beginning with Marmeladov a bit hard to get through
