Imagine knowing someone was a wizard and not understanding they deal in matters beyoud your circles of understanding.

This hair stuff was kinda ass.

Harry falls, lies there, his hair gets cut off, lies some more, finally goes: "...my hair."

You see that event progression? It stank. Apart from this, I've had few issues with the novel so far. But seeing as this is going to create major motion, it'll definitely affect my experience going forward.

I've enjoyed every bit of this I've read and you're telling me this isn't even supposed to be great yet? ＼⁠(⁠°⁠o⁠°⁠)⁠／

Let me tell you.

This novel is actually quite brilliant

I can usually tell if I'm going to like a book from the first chapter using several factors.

Character voice and personalities
Event set up and presentation
And just plain vibe and enjoyment

Storm Front to me lines all of these up perfectly with just this short introduction. Perhaps I've spoken too quickly but rarely have I been wrong, I usually already feel unsure by this point if I'm going to be a critic.

Can these female characters just shut the f up? I don't see vin getting angry for having an helping hand, no these characters hardly even register the need to be thankful, instead their angry to be helped, I wouldn't even mind them dead.

I'm feeling really mixed on this one, like extremely mixed on it.

This tale has it's good parts, i can see the parts that people praise, but more and more, I finding those elements annoying.

most of the characters to whom oaths are sworn are simply not worthy in my eyes. Fidele is not worth Maquin loyalty, his whole character is now oriented towards her which makes him boring, this would no doubt work for many as healing but I find it tidious.

This series is one of the most beloved fantasy series. I know that much.

So it really pains me that since I resumed reading it from book 2, it has been a tiresome affair.

Corban and his fellows are really boring, they feel like paper cut out of the good side and the way they prove it is so boring and tasteless.

I think it only works because that's how the author wants it to be so it works.

I can't say I'm liking this very much, it's becoming tidious.

The romance is bothersome but oh well.

I think sometimes, for someone who watches dramas and romance anime, why do the romance in these fantasy always distract from my experience? Only few have managed to not exhaust me.

Maybe it is just the words used, I hate hearing about the smell of her and how bro could fell her heat or how she made his head go blank.

Not to mention I most don't like the females.

I think the classics remain the best

It has been so long since I read a fantasy book that gives me that same boyish wonder as the wheel of time and now this!

I love the bromance between Pug and Thomas, I love Kulgan and most of everyone and everything that has happened till now. This has potentials

Pretty much need to finish this before the month ends for my two person book club, not to mention it was my recommendation, since I'm attempting to venture more and more out of the Fantasy and SFF scope.

I've not been enjoying the: "That's what makes us better than them bs!"

I also find I don't really care for Corban and the villains are generally more entertaining than the protagonists, I'm not the biggest fan of the female characters here as well, they just aren't working with me.

Overall, I'm having trouble committing, same thing happened with Valor, hopefully I can get the zone for this!

Started this one a few months ago, or whenever I stopped the last one really, when the wind which allowed me to consumed the past books deceived me into believing I still had a couple more in me (with this series), for which I was lead to the most terrible conclusion that I do not, and I've since been reading tiny portions of the novel like a man forced to choke down more food on a over feed stomach.

Perhaps the audiobook will help me get into this series, I just can't resist the allure of a book that doesn't understand the concept of ending. After all I dream of a series that will finish just on the right full day when I die

I'm enjoying this, although I can't help feeling the similarity between this and All the Skills is quite something.

Although I'd definitely rank All the Skills book one far beyond this but, let's see how it goes.

Things have long pass getting interesting to things being interesting.
