it is so so beautifully written but miss ma’am Tolstoy you can’t expect me to remember every fucking colonel and soldier in this hell of a book there are like 40 new names that appeared in the span of 150 pages what’s the big idea

too many new names too many war descriptions too many words i don’t understand

i really hope i’m wrong about the direction everything is going but if im not i will be greatly disappointed

the more i read this the more confused but also weirdly calm i become is this how it’s supposed to work

peace is over, it’s war time

im gonna be in tears when this book is over i swear i will start mourning the second i finished it
