There's a bit too much snarling and growling going on for my liking but it's got me intrigued

Possibly enjoying this too much, if such a thing is possible

Awful start- so many names of random military characters thrown around with no other information to distinguish them, but it's settled into the story a bit now and certainly got me intrigued

Some classic ghost story tropes in here but well executed so far, it's the first book to genuinely spook me in ages. I keep jumping at loud noises in broad daylight...

For a Stephen King B-side, I'm still enjoying this, even if so far other than the cell phone twist, it's a bit of a generic rag-tag-survivors-travel-across-wasteland-America kinda story

Enjoying this so much I've just bulk ordered five more Stephen King books so make of that what you will. I've been reading under the covers trying not to wake up my partner, it's like being a kid staying up past your bed time all over again

I don't know what page I'm up to but I've abandoned this for weeks. I want to be a Jane Austen girly but they're just so slow.

She's doing it again. I picked this up on a whim during my lunch break on Monday and I'm already this far in without really trying. It's a proper story.

I can't believe I never read these when I was a teenager. I was obsessed with contemporary YA romance. Maybe I was too deep into my not-like-other-girls phase. Anyway, the trailer for season 3 of the TV show dropped today and it has me in a chokehold. I need something to do while I wait, hence, finally reading the books.

That's right, I'm spontaneously re-reading this again because it still lives rent-free in my head. Still devastated that the slated TV adaptation never came to anything. Kinda terrified I won't like it this time, but it's going strong so far.

So far I'm not finding this too shocking, but maybe I just had very low expectations of Facebook

Horrendous prologue which made me question my life choices (or at least my choice to pick up this book), but now it's got going I'm really enjoying it (and the language has thankfully gotten slightly less verbose). Is this going to be a third slam dunk?

Finally stumbled across a copy of this in a charity shop, hurrah!

Picked this up on a whim and it's far more charming than I thought it was going to be. I thought it might be long and dull but it's not at all so far. Whether or not I'll enjoy the Candleford sections as much remains to be seen. I didn't know, but the setting is actually pretty close to where I grew up so it's very close to my heart.

Bit odd but very compelling now I've settled into it. On track for three stars unless the last quarter blows my mind. I just feel quite detached from the characters.

Wow wow wow, I'm loving this book so much

I'm terrified because so far this is on track to be one of the best books I've ever read. I just hope the author doesn't bungle the ending...
