Okay so it’s been confirmed his name is Xarius. Yet somehow we knew the name beforehand even though he’d refused had refused to give it to her. The story is more interesting as it progresses. The issue was the entire start of the book, up until chapter 9 when it started making sense

The same sentence and reaction to that statement is written. I’m feeling like an editor

Chapter 9 is finally when things are getting interesting. However I still have no idea what is happening in the human lands. We’re currently in the fae lands. Also we went back to somehow knowing Xarius’ name even though he’d refused to give it to Fiona. Also we’re just assuming he’s Xarius’ because the sudden appearance of that name was not explained

He did give her his name but then his name “Xarius” randomly appears like we knew it all along. Then it seems we go back to not knowing it.

The word “Fae” has appeared for the first time and that’s on page 64. Then 4 pages later we find out we’re in Fae lands. Okay, we’re getting somewhere. We’re getting important context that allows me to know what is happening. I’m feeling less confused with just those words. Why did it take so many chapters though

I’m starting Chapter 6. The words “mate” and “romantic” were each mentioned once but not in a way that is to describe what’s happening between them. I wish there’d been more than just saying the feather was an acceptance of his claim. I’m only rooting for Fiona because she’s our main character but feel no connection to her yet. Also, what is going on in their world?

Something the FMC said in page 38 is exactly what she said in the end of page 33 beginning of 34. This goes back to my dislike of how repetitive the book is so far

I feel like most of chapter 2 was too wordy and repetitive. A lot of it could be cut out and their meeting would make more sense. There was so much and I just wanted it to get to the point.

I got the kindle version and purchased the audiobook that was offered with it. However, there was a quote in the audiobook before each chapter. This was not in the kindle book, so it was confusing every time it happened. I’d love it if we could have the book and audiobook be the same, otherwise the confusion is pulling me away from the story each time

Sometimes I skim the introduction section in books but immediately it was captivating and so relatable. I’m so excited to keep reading this.
