I'm not going to lie I think this might be a one day read I've got to see how this ends

I can already guess where this book is going and that's not an issue for me because there's a third book in the series where I already know what's going to happen: the groundwork has been laid.

But I am at this point wondering Lore can't be this stupid because even I can guess that these are not her dreams or her memories and there's no way she ain't figured that out

Okay updated theories:

My theory is about Anton and August are the same but now I'm wondering if the mentioned that the gods were human before they ascended into gods so does that now mean that Lore and Bastian are becoming gods as well.
This fits in with the theory about August believing if he can turn himself into his son then he'll be a god.
BUT NOW IT ASK THE QUESTION WHAT DOES GABE HAVE TO DO WITH THIS?????

Okay current theories:

August has figured out that his son is the one who can use spiritum and is now trying to become his son, making him a god. ( Life)

He thinks the only way to do that is to kill his son and that's why he's trying to find an heir so that no one thinks twice about it.

I have no idea what Anton has got to do with this but now I'm scared that Anton is trying to turn himself into a god. ( Death)

I can't tell who I meant to trust at this point it is so rare for me to find a book where every single person (not Malcolm) is hiding secrets. And I think that's what makes this book so good because there is no hero even our main character Lore she's a problem and I don't even know if she knows she's a problem.
I will say this though if Gabe ends up betraying her just because of Anton I'm going to be so pissed off.

At this point we are pushing to finish this book there's nothing wrong with it but I feel as though this late in the game there are too many plots that need to be finished and we have less than 100 pages.

We have Alex and the dad and the house to be sold and the move to be calculated what are we doing.

It's crazy to think that this book that is I kid you not 40% sex scenes has some of the cutest random lines:
"I'd had to build my own home, my own family. I'd crafted it and the only way I knew how; it was messy and strange, but it was mine and no one can take it away from me"

Nate I've had no problems with you this entire time you were just being slow and married to someone who's dumb and now you're causing problems for what.

We are early in this story but too late in the overall story for them to be adding new people causing problems

I really hope I could have gotten this done tonight but here it is 1:30 in the morning and I have to tap out but I definitely will finish this book on the last day of this month

I think if I keep pushing I could finish this before the beginning of June


It's just as unhinged as I remember it to be but for some odd reason they don't get on my nerves as much as they did the first three times reading this

I don't know what it is about this story being brought to paperback that's making me want to read it for the fourth time but here we are.

I have never in all my days read something go crazy but the logic somehow still tracks and I can see how this could happen.

I would never want this to happen to someone but if I read about this in the news I would not be surprised or confused.

Okay officially spooked out but I will say more than anything else the thing that's truly getting me is the "child"aspect.

We just got introduced to the idea of the second house that was built in 2016 at what age do you think that a child would be able to kill someone? In my mind you would need them to be 4 or 5, but if that was the case then that means what the new house the kid would have to be 7 or 8.

After having binged this entire series in like 4 days I can officially say chapter 22 of this book is my favorite chapter.

I have read a lot of books in my time but this is the best book to ever describe pure unadulterated delusion. This is the definition of all them screws is loose and rolling in the floorboards.

I don't know if it's me or if it's just the characters but I'm switching to an audiobook because this is so slow and I get I'm like in the early stages but this is a slow book

The book was going well and then now it's going terribly again because we're getting into a really really bad miscommunication trope and this is absolutely horrendous how is Tess older but has the intelligence of a 12 year old. It's as if she's absolutely incapable of having normal conversations with Ryan, she can talk to everyone else just not him.

Really want to dnf might just put down for the day.

We're getting into it now it's gotten better I do think I may be able to finish it but I will say that start was very slow and I'm not going to lie I don't know where the story is going which is crazy cuz it's a romance I should know how it will end.

This just Emerson's Story, and I am not liking that . With his story his child is over the age of 21 so him not being in his life was fine but not with your 6 year old. I am going to shout for 25% before DNFing but I have little hope.

So far this book is a process but I am not hating it so we are pushing it.

My first buy this author after dnfing the Poppy War and so far it's slow but the characters aren't insufferable the same way they were in the Poppy War.

I will also say I love that they just throw you in to this world and just expect you to figure it out you're dealing with a bunch of people from Cambridge they're not going to hold your hand they're just going to pull you along and I like that.
