The romantic subplot is moving WAYYYYYYY too fast. This is a subplot, we should have only gotten hints of romance by the end!!!! What is this????

So far an interesting take on fated mates where one recognizes and the other doesn't, but there is still time for it to get worse.

The author is obsessed with "clever literary" similes and metaphores. It's exhausting. I'm 1/3 of the way through and the author is too pleased with their turn of phrase to make this an enjoyable experience. I'm powering through but gosh am I hanging on by a thread.

This books is going to get top marks from me for dealing with the miscommunication in the way it did.

I need a glossary to keep track of the names. I also think the author assumes we know more about the events that happened than I, in particular, do.

I HATE the cover of this book. Like loathe. Like stop myself from DNFing the stupid thing every since time it opens. Like I am not giving it a fair shake because the cover is so bad.

This is very paint by numbers but gets the job done.

The Mr Collins from the book would condescend to Mary were she to learn not nurture her along the path. It's only been 3 years, hardly enough time to bring about such a change.

I'm bored. MMC loves the twist kid and FMC just doesn't believe she is worthy of love. Well....he loves her and its all going to go well so I'm confused about where the conflict is going to come from.

So far really good pacing but the banter between the MCs kinda came out of nowhere.

How did I not know your game Elizabeth Stephens???? I was at first repulsed by the MMC and then I looked up and I had been reading for hours.

I have no record of having read this book but I am quite certain I have!

I might be getting dumber by reading this. I wanted to like it so bad and maybe it is just that I am a misogynist (thanks societal brain washing) but I'm not into it.
