An old historical romance that puts 1940s era filters on the early Middle Ages. More about a love triangle than the mighty First Crusade. Fun, but not to be taken seriously. I doubt life at the time of this story was anything like it is depicted here, like some old Hollywood gossip rag.

More of a romance novel than action novel, reads like the script of an old swashbuckling movie.
