hi everyone. just wanted to let you know I read 3 more books than Jeanne in 2015 (46 vs 49). Okay, bye.

I don't even know why, but Peter de Vries is possibly my favorite author who isn't JK Rowling? And I'm pretty sure I only understand like 15% of his humour because it's so highbrow?

I am actually laughing hysterically for this whole book. "Tommy demanded that Philip Haldiman, who was playing Denny, enter some scenes singing his lines, asked him to "cry hysterically"...and made him lingeringly eat an apple early in the film..."

"Probably the most wasteful and pointless part of The Room's production was Tommy's decision to simultaneously shoot his movie with both a 35mm film camera and an HD camera."

"A graphical representation of empathy might involve a Venn diagram-two circles, one for the affective component and one for the cognitive, slightly overlapping, with me standing well outside of both circles talking incessantly about the weather during a funeral."

So witty, so honest, so insightful.

I am already madly in love with this book and I am on page 9. Is that crazy?
