was an interesting read with a number of helpful topics regarding the latest developments in AI and the infrastructure required to power it. at times, the Q/A-style with lots of references and sub-text was trying but otherwise pleasant and educational. it is approachable for those that are not technical and does a good job of explaining esoterica.

after getting almost half way through i grew very tired of the writing style as it was extremely repetitive. the story was uninspired, which really disappointed me, because the subject has lots of potential. in general, it read like a young adult fantasy spin off that is being marketed to adults.

did not finish. the book was too much of the same page after page and it’s too long to persevere when there’s so much out there that is better.

really boring and repetitive. stopped reading when the history with prof grimes got out of hand.

do not like this book. tired of reading about helena wanting to kill herself and flashes of red.
