The only issue I have so far is that the character Jasper is very clearly autistic yet Picoult’s description of his autism is basic, generalised and a poor attempt at trying to make a character “diverse”. I also think it’s just trying to add in one more “diversity” in a book that’s trying to tackle misogyny, sexism, homophobia, AND racism and the autism deserves its own book and description.
