ending the glen canyon expedition with the signpost was so unsatisfying and ugly. well illustrated. the man writes well.

quick read. otherwise idk that i would stick with it. i wanted a good thriller but this is kinda boring, the writing is basic and the dialogue is choppy and unnatural, and i don’t care about the character at all. better be a good twist.

been sitting on my table with 40 pages left for a week. too emotionally raw to put myself through jack’s leaving atm. but looking forward to finishing

like i can’t stop reading i need to go to bed!!! it is so heartwarming and heartbreaking in the same sentence!!

like okay character growth sure i’m seeing it but i HATE THIS CHARACTER she still is the most insufferable woman and i want to get out of her head. only still going bc i might as well finish at this point. i keep hoping there will be some growth point that changes it for me but i think we just don’t get along…
