DNF @ 30%. For me, writing style is better suited to short stories. I’m just not in the right frame of mind to get into this right now.

Sorry. Tapping out. If it were shorter, I'd try to power through, but got almost 200 pages in and still am not enjoying. Main character is written like a some kind of righteous and just god doling out the most perfect wisdom and most justified punishment, narration all over the place, villains are cliched and awful, would also love a few less instances of "whore" thrown about. Pretty disappointed!

Incredibly disappointing to find that I'm struggle-bussing through this. The tone/voice is just... not doing it for me at all. This sounds silly but the main character has major Main Character Syndrome, but in a way where he has zero faults and is therefore completely uninteresting to me. Will try to push through a bit more and see if I end up coming around.
