I'm having a bit of a fundamental challenge with this one. Things that should work for me are not. I am invested in the story and want to see it through because the story is interesting, but I don't like too many of the characters. There are other things, but... we will see.

Now that we are off and running, this is shaping up to be a good book.

This story took a long time to get rolling for me, but I think we are going to have a story that holds me now. We will see.

I’m pretty far in to be as surface as I am. That said, it’s interesting enough. Well keep going a while.

I don't know why I'm jealous for Alex. He hasn't told Theresa how he feels, even though we all know he feels it. I'm really digging this story. It's inventive and free. Their little family is facing a century-evil. He's creative and smart and basically good. I really want to see them succeed and win out. Good job, Clarke.

This is a very consumable fantasy. It's fun. Not too heavy. Just about right. I'd like to see more with Theresa, but, it's pretty good. Not that Theresa is getting short shrift, I've just already shipped them.

I'm in another LRPG. Who'd a thunk it? I'm enjoying it so far. Clarke has done an admirable job of giving me a little family I can root for. I'm definitely rooting for a Theresa connection, though I can already taste the third wheel ruining it for a while. I'm sold so far.

And we are on to the final challenge

This story is just a comfortable place to be. It meanders at times, races at others, but I'm just having a good time hanging out in the Swamp.

Satisfying storytelling. I've been humming along without a worry about where we are going. It's fun to watch Temerity go.
