I've finished Part One. I've heard good things about Sanderson's books, but always put them off. There was just too many, and too big: It was daunting.

However I'm absolutely loving this.

I think a path of footnotes just changed my understanding of the book as a whole.

Chapter 9 is melting my mind, and I love it.

I've also read the letters from Johnny's mother in the appendix, but the structure of the book struggles with Goodreads logging at the best of times.

I've started skipping ahead at sex scenes because there's just so many and it's SO repetitive.

I don't remember the last time a book made me skip ahead out of boredom, and knowing I'm not risking missing anything by doing so. It's dire, but I'm too far through to DNF it.
