god i love this book and it's so fucking cold that it's the perfect re-reading experience FUCK

didn't know much about this one besides that it is a gatsby retelling. pleasantly surprised so far! jordan is one of my favorite characters, so it's very intriguing to see her take on the story, especially with the magical twist

twelfth night retelling: 3.5/5
i really hate the original play, but this was a fun story! it did a better job at incorporating characters and key points from the play than the previous retelling. also, the 400 year romantic tension between sebastian and antonio was solved here!

taming of the shrew retelling: 4.5/5
my favorite so far! the whole soulmates/colors thing was very inventive.

the tempest retelling: 4/5 stars
i really enjoyed this first story, but i thought the intertextuality was going to hit me in the face with something harder than the typical similarities between characters’ names. i thought the new dynamic was very well developed, though!

my individual rates may change once i'm done with the whole book
