Well….. I’m feeling very conflicted. I was so excited to read this series, and so far it’s about a million and one characters, copious amounts of incest, and what is with the Child Bride fascination??? I know Martin is trying to be “historically accurate” but how am I supposed to take a wedding night seriously when the bride is 13, the groom is 30-ish & the author is a 50+yo man? 😬😶😬

Really good so far! I like the writing style, there is good foreshadowing/foundation for character development, and the FMC already strikes me as very dynamic.
Also, what introvert wouldn’t want to move to a 100+ acre island all to themselves?? She basically living the dream, aside from her immense trauma 🤷🏻‍♀️😅
