Honestly I’m enjoying the physical book much more than the audiobook

Literally could’ve just read this instead.. but then I’d have missed the cringe fest in all of it’s glory.

When I first tried to read this in 2013, I didn’t relate to the Underground Man. I wrote him off. But now I’m just a bit older and I’m starting to understand the strange balance of his pettiness and profound beliefs.

Skipping Johnny's bs for when I have the patience was the best possible decision. It makes the book 100% more bearable and interesting.

Meh. The core story is usually interesting, but the Johnny Truant rants and occasional (fake) "academic" rants get really old, really quick. It’s way more enjoyable to skip all of the footnotes and then go back at the end of a chapter.
