this sucks

I'm so boreddd I'm giving up. The opening is so much of Sabine learning how vampires work. I know how vampires work, it's not interesting to read. The characters are great conceptually but actually reading about them is so slow and meandering

13 characters introduced in one chapter and some go by multiple names and also each are associated with a different kingdom/faction while this book doesn't have a map 3 it is getting interesting but I wish the characters entered a little more gradually so I don't have to constantly flip back to the part where they're introduced to remember who's who

the writing in this is so heavyhanded. everyone's one personality trait is stated over and over again especially in the beginning and Oliver says what is basically the theme of the book in the last chapter I read ughhhhhhh

Every character in this book has something deeply evil about them but not in a way that makes this good to read.
