okay i can already tell this book is gonna slap

been having crazy insomnia lately and listening to this keeps putting me to sleep. i don’t think this book is good

thank you to my roommate for reminding me that i can refer to books as pulpy instead of slop

gone girl cool girl monologue but it’s british innit

rereading to reset a little after my year of scifi novels

we are skipping authority and hoping the wikipedia synopsis is enough to get us through book 3

you can’t just call the final chapter “to boldly go” and then introduce a character named helena i’ll kill you

in lab about to cry over some fucking spiders

i need to know if the author of this book is a star trek fan or if his eyebrows are just Like That because it’s haunting the otherwise incredible narrative for me

im gonna be real this is just slop for people who like ttrpgs. good for the post-gencon airplane ride

not to be shallow but this one’s kind of a slog through unrelenting major and minor misfortune and it is depressing the fuck outta me

two children are either dead or vampired at this point in the book and im still stuck on “jahoobies”

aw jeez

the magical realism in this bathtub baptism scene is losing me a little, reminder to reread

also obviously suspension of disbelief is necessary to get across the examination of the construction of race in america but i keep wondering whats like. happening in china for instance

immediately so confusing but i kind of love it

wym i’m out of spotify listening hours 👹 can someone rock agamemnon’s whole shit already

similarly cutesy like book 1 but i like this story better so far

this might be a DNF, it just feels like it was written for children

my spotify listening hours ran out but it’s ok bc idegaf about the romance happening rn

hey what the fuck is going on

this book is cute. i would die for sissix
