One of my favorite series! Sort of like if Buffy the Vampire Slayer got married & had kids and retired from being a demon hunter, but then got pulled back in!

Reading this one to my patient in the hospital, so he hears a familiar voice.

Meh. Couldn't get into it. Hated the one character, soooo annoying. Can't finish it, and that's rare for me.

Rereading this to see if it's appropriate for Jaylene yet!

The war parts are a little boring for me, not because they are about war, just because I find the writing about them in this book boring. The fact that most of the Russian names sound the same and several characters has similar names also keeps tripping me up. But damn it! I'm going to finish this book if it takes me 5 years ! LOL

Already by page 7 they're talking about how there are about a thousand million stars in our own Galaxy . Which equals 1 billion. Nowadays we know that there are 200 to 400 billion! It'll be interesting to see what they got right and what they got wrong.

A space exploration book written in 1953 , set in 1997 to 2001 . This ought to be interesting! Recommended by a patient.

By the same author as The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Hope it's good!

I'm currently trying to read this and it is a very slow go. But I am the type of person who once I start something, I have to finish it. Unless it's a really bad TV show. Books I almost always finish. However, I must admit, I just purchased the SparkNotes companion to help me understand this more after I read a chapter. Eagerly awaiting it in the mail!

All the names are so similar and some of the characters have two names like Natalia/ Natasha and it gets very confusing!
