Nah.. this is dumb. The whole time??? It’s there the whole time??

Really not liking the mix of fantasy and real world. A magical hotel home to Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, and Elizabeth Taylor…. Somehow mixed with time manipulation and a spy network? I can’t even tell what genre this is anymore.

I’m really not enjoying this. I’m one chapter away from DNFing.

Suzanne Collins’s “The Hunger Games” meets Richard Connell’s “The Most Dangerous Game.”

I’m getting major Bella Swan vibes. But also she said 7th grade was 4 years ago. So she’s in 11th grade? She’s 16-17? This book is touted as spicy though…. #confused.

Oh AND…. The narrator has the strangest accent. It’s like British and Caribbean??? Certain words just sound.. wrong. For example, the word “thudded” is pronounced “tudded.”

The formatting for this book is absolutely rancid - especially for audio. There are 274 “sections,” not chapters, sections. The scene often abruptly ends mid conversation and the next section starts a new scene. There is also an annoyingly long pause between each section even listening at 2x speed. If I didn’t love Greek mythology, I wouldn’t even keep listening.
