These poor messed up kids, now grown. So much sadness.

Now, part of the story that’s not in the movie at all: the lives of Catherine’s and Heathcliff’s children.

So far, lots of differences between book and movie. Nellie is a servant, not a companion to Cathy. There is NO mention of skin colored walls! Watch the movie to find out more about that. I think the book shines Catherine is a far worse light than in the movie. She comes off much better tempered in the movie. Lots of extra scenes added to the movie that weren’t in the book at all.

I know I read this in college, but I just watched the new movie and felt very surprised by some of the movie. Now I’m rereading to know what’s actually in the book and what was just creative liberty.

I’m only on chapter two, but I can’t yet tell who is narrating.

I really need this girl to get help. She needs to stop drinking.

Listening on audio and the narrator is so good. Listening at 1.5 speed. The story is so interesting so far. Hidden Magic, artistic gifting, Italian setting, FMC takes care of her family, immortal family!!?
