I'm really not liking this as much as I thought I would. The early-2000's era casual sexism is really grating me, and every story is starting to feel the same.

I’ve had to read this book in very small doses because of how much it’s depressing me. I’m so saddened and angry over how little has seemingly changed in the U.S. since Carson’s time. We’re still battling so much of the same environmental destruction from evil people/companies. It’s a great book so far, just a bummer parade too lol.

Already liking this significantly better than the last 3 books of the Neapolitan Novels series!!

Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to read *the* quintessential environmentalist text, I’m very excited!
