Reading challenge here I come...

Phenomenal. Philosophically & theologically strong. No fluff, to the point. Clear and humorous. Doesn't patronize the reader with pages of personal anecdotes, unnecessary explanations, and ridiculous over-illustration.

Aight I'm over it. The book starts by promising and adventurous romp, and then the rest of the book they literally SKIP all the romping and then just exposition dump HARD about literary & media criticism.

It's basically the same as if the book wasn't in a dialogue framework at all. I feel like the only thing accomplished by the framework is that now I feel cheated of what sounded like an interesting book.🤷

Wait wow I'd forgotten how clever the writing is...the way she's cultivating curiosity in the reader by only showing half the picture every scene is amazing 🤩

Alongside Milton's Satan and Spencer's Despaire, Bunyan's Apollyon is a peak portrayal of Satan in fiction 🤌
