Conrad telling belly “why don’t you go look in the mirror some more” is more offensive than to belly comment saying “why don't you go smoke a cigarette more”, and it even happened in the show, but I think later on or earlier is where Taylor knew this and said it, and he realized how wrong it felt

Belly could smell something, but eventually Conrad said it’s for his moms chemo everyone already knew Belly mentioned her & her brother Steven felt awkward whenever Susan chemo was mentioned and pretended it wasn’t happening then their mother but in the show they never talked about her chemo until the ball & Jeremiah saw the email then found out Conrad&belly’s mom knew in the book earlier it was she wore a wig

Bell said she visited his two-bedroom apartment where her brother would sleep in the pullout bed, & she'd be in the room in the little twin bed with pink sheets but shown belly has an allergy to incense, but she can smell it so when she entered her dads apartment she knew he was smoking but afterwards he did it when she is not around.

The book is so far the same as the show Conrad is kinda the same except for that carnival part I don’t remember them showing that in the show they showed Conrad as he cared for belly but didn’t know about himself tbh but belly had that polar-bear in the show it was just never shown where she has gotten it or how junior mint was what she called it as mentioned and is her housewarming gift she had at the fishers
