Biggest pet peeve in books is when the MMC uses some sort of coercion power on the FMC to get his way and then there’s a smut scene.

That is NOT consent and it’s gross.

These guys aren’t even trying to not be assholes and it’s exhausting. FMC succumbs to the ‘mate bond’ effect and let’s go of her anger instantly and it’s so unsatisfying.

Holy crap these guys are assholes. Maybe not Mars, he’s had very little page time so far, but Jake and Caleb, and well the rest of the team and Avery are all giant assholes… I think I might end up wishing this was MF not MMFM at this rate

Considering the author note stating you don’t need to have read the other series in this world build, it’s very difficult to follow what the f is going on. I don’t like vampires, so I don’t want to read the previous series. Maybe reading the wolf one would help? I don’t know. It’s hard to get absorbed in the story when I’m missing so much information and backstory

Info dump chapter after info dump chapter. Do we need the full political hierarchy of a realm they're not in dumped on us mid-story? I almost feel like a school text book has been shoved into this. It's such dry reading and so dull.

Is Aran meant to be Sadie's friend? I'm genuinely confused. If that's her BFF... Well, she doesn't need enemies.

Also, what is with the constant trope of everyone knows basic stuff except the FMC?? Yeah, Sadie was a servant, but she should still have some basic understanding of the world she lives in, no?

It's a little confusing. It's good I'm enjoying the story but it has a few contradictions that let it down.

Charlotte starts the book with a flip phone, then says how she needs a phone. There's no mention of the flip phone being damaged or lost or taken off of her.

Then there's her mum. Charlotte says her shifter side is from her sperm donor, then she's begrudging her mum for not telling her about shifters.

The story could be good, I don’t know yet. The writing style is distracting. There's a distinct lack of punctuation which impacts the flow.

I know it's a PNR book but the FMC believes she's human at the start and goes on and on about finally being legal at eighteen to go to a bar... in Texas...

It's very stilted and telling instead of showing. The formatting is bizarre and I'm on the fence about continuing.

I keep waiting for Lucca to acknowledge consent or that Tamsin is a person and not a hole he can fill... this time she was exhausted and unresponsive and he still put himself before her.

For a romance series, the love interests are seriously lacking in any level of common decency. Lucca is the worst but they all treat Tamsin as a possession.
